McCaleb started working at Ripple in 2011 and was a founding member of the company when it officially launched in 2013. He was awarded 8 billion XRP for his key founding role in the creation and startup. OpenCoin was later renamed Ripple, despite leaving it in 2014 to found rival Stellar (XLM).
Jed McCaleb once stated that he would sell the XRP he received according to a set schedule. Since then, he has steadily “discharged”. McCaleb currently has 110,871,334 XRP left in his wallet, according to Jed Balance.
Jed McCaleb expects to sell off XRP in 26, 28, or 30 days, depending on how quickly he sells. The first option requires him to sell 3,718,395 XRP per week, the second option requires an average sale of 4,033,827 XRP per month, and the third option is doable provided McCaleb sells an average of 3,523,447 XRP every three months.
However, it seems that the website only shows the current balance and does not count how much XRP Jed McCaleb can receive.
At the time of writing, XRP trades at $0.3646, down 1.49% in 24 hours and up 15.42% on the week.
