What is Anonymous? The World’s Most Famous Hacker Anonymous Group

Who is Anonymous?

Anonymous is an international affiliate network and an “anonymous hacker” organization. The organization was formed by the call on the four-chan forum, symbolized by the masked man Guy Fawkes in the rendition film “V for Vendetta.”

As with his name, no one knows a member of this anonymous hacker group. All they know is that their forces are spread all over the world. People are extremely frightened by what this organization has done when it comes to Anonymous.

The organization’s formation is also a secret that no one knows; the world only knows them from the attacks that took place in late 2006. Since then, many Anonymous people have carried out several cyberattacks in succession, exposing the world’s cybercommunity to howl and howl. Specifically: the attack on the website of the famous MC Hal Turner, which knocked down the website of Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in 2010.

It is worth mentioning that the people in this organization call themselves “true” hackers and activists. They consider themselves “legions” against Internet control from the authorities, claiming freedom for Internet users. Anonymous also expressed his disquiet at the Internet control actions of the world’s institutions. The anonymous hackers said the steps were manipulating the media and hiding the truth.

Anonymous has organized break-ins and attacks on prominent websites of many countries as a form of terrorism. However, some subjects thought they were heroes. This is considered the most mysterious force on the planet; even the National Post described the Anonymous hacker group as “the most powerful organization in the world.”

So far, no one knows who Anonymous is or how powerful it is. And it’s also impossible to compile all the cyber attacks this hacker group has on websites, organizations, or even leaked data from the FBI or other state security agencies.

Is Anonymous’s purpose good or bad?

What anonymous works for is something that no one knows well. However, based on their activities, it is thought that this group of hackers is trying to seize control of the Internet around the world.

The organization showed no fear before any agency. The evidence is that the group attacked a series of Russian, American, and Israeli government websites. Or copyright protection agencies of some financial institutions and companies such as Sony Corporation, PayPal finance,…

This attack paralyzed the network for a short time. But what is surprising is that the action was not intended to be a means of extortion or illegal gain.

The attacks of Anonymous caused a lot of controversy in the online community. Because it’s hard to determine whether that purpose is good or bad, depending on each incident, they are considered “heroes” of the digital age. But there are very few cases where people think they are terrorists or activists. There are so many scandalous events and melancholy that everything has come to light thanks to Anonymous.

How does they work?

The remarkable thing about anonymous hackers is that they always last a long time under the law. Because no one knows who the group is and where it comes from. Even if the authorities catch a team member, the collected information is only a number “0”. By Anonymous works anonymously and spans the globe. This anonymity makes the organization seem “immortal” in the face of all cybersecurity investigations and pursuits.

The people in this organization all have equal roles. A cyber attack will occur when there is an offer, initiation from a member, and support from other members. Anonymous’s methods of operation are entirely different from those of other hackers. They operate on the principle of delivering messages. And their attacks are not for ransom or blackmail.

Its attacks often report something hidden, not adequately addressed, or being hidden by someone with a function. So after each episode, a great wave of public opinion arose.

The leaderless organization is estimated to be huge and spanning countries worldwide. Their purpose was to counter Internet control by the authorities. During its existence, this group of hackers has caused many Internet attacks in many countries. As long as one team member launches, other team members will join the attack at a dizzying pace.

Outstanding attacks

As the most dangerous hacker group on the planet, causing investigations to go off, Anonymous has been around for decades and has had attacks that have caused global upheaval. Here are some typical team attacks:

  • In September 2009, the organization knocked down Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s website, protesting against the country’s policy of blocking the website.
  • On May 20, 2009, Anonymous participated in a civic event that was breaking into and massively releasing 18+ videos to Youtube to retaliate against the site that locked a member of their account.
  • Also, in 2009, anonymous hackers attacked Sony and PlayStation websites. Because this company sued one of their Anos who successfully cracked the PS3.
  • The year 2013 was also the culmination of the group’s launch of secret FBI talks. The organization also attacked, appearing densely in videos with white masks and issuing brief warnings. Their posting address is constantly changing, so agencies can’t locate them.

Anonymous warns Do Kwon

Early on June 27, Anonymous’s YouTube channel posted a new video featuring the declaration of war against Do Kwon. The world-famous hacker group addresses issues surrounding the LUNA story and Do Kwon’s background – who is accused of laundering money and “directing” the crash that caused tens of trillion won damage to investors.

According to the hacker group, Do Kwon has a lot of secrets but is “negligently concealed,” and currently, many parties are involved in the character investigation. Anonymous announced a review of Kwon’s operations since entering the crypto market to bring those segments to light.
