Luna Collapsed, Family In Korea Decided To Commit Suicide

Korean police have recovered the family car that has been missing for nearly a month, lying deep in the sea. Initial information suggested that LUNA’s demise could be the cause, which led them to decide to do this.

The car was successfully recovered on the morning of June 29.

According to the Korean Times, Police and the coast guard found three bodies inside a car that was towed out of the waters near Wando on Wednesday morning. The body is believed to be from a missing family. The disappearance has shocked the country in recent days.

Authorities identified the vehicle’s fingerprints and belongings. Initial indications are that the bodies are those of 10-year-old Cho Yoo-Na and her parents from Gwangju. They said severely decomposed bodies would be moved to a funeral home in Gwangju.

South Korea has launched a large-scale search around the island off the coast of South Jeolla province to find family members who have been missing for nearly a month after they were last seen at around 11 pm. May 30 left a guesthouse they had rented on Wando.

As of June 28, the search has entered its seventh day, with about 200 police officers using helicopters and drones, but they could not find any meaningful clues. The family’s mysterious disappearance has sparked much speculation in the public.

On May 17, Cho’s parents informed her school that they would be taking a month-long trip to Jeju Island from May 19 to June 15.

But Cho was still absent from school after that time, and his family could not be contacted by phone, which prompted school officials to visit their home. Seeing that the mailbox was full of unopened mail and no one was at home, they reported a missing case to the police on June 22.

Missing information was posted regarding baby Cho Yu-na.

This family was last seen leaving the guesthouse around 11 pm on May 30 – 1 day before check-out. Surveillance camera footage shows Cho’s mother carrying her child on her back while her father walks behind, holding a plastic bag in his left hand. The three were later seen leaving in private cars.

Is it related to LUNA virtual currency?

Cho’s parents may have suffered financial damage by purchasing Luna cryptocurrency, the Gwangju Southern Police Department discovered on Wednesday after studying the search history of websites the parents had recently visited. Authorities found that her parents searched for Luna multiple times on internet portals up to the day she went missing on May 30. They also searched online for sleeping pills and suicide methods, police said.

People who knew Cho’s family previously said that, following news of the family’s disappearance, Cho’s father is said to have struggled after closing his computer-related business in July 2021. The family’s credit card debt is more than 100 million won ($80,000), according to police.
