NFT CryptoPunk #4464 with the rare ape-trait sold for 2,500 ETH on July 12
This is the latest record-breaking deal in CryptoPunk’s recent resurgence in the past three months and has made it the fifth-largest NFT trading event in the collection’s history. According to data from analytics platform Rarity.Tools, this NFT, number 4464, features the 32nd rarest monkey in a collection of 10,000 versions.
Based on NFT CryptoPunk #4464’s estimated market value, the eye-popping sale was a fair deal for both the buyer and seller. NFT price estimator DeepNFTValue had the collectible valued at 2595 ETH (roughly $2.7 million) at the time of sale, just a 4% difference from its final price.
The buyer was pseudonymous NFT whale “zoomc,” whose collection now includes 24 CryptoPunks and 113 Meebits.
On the other hand, CryptoPunk #4464 is not the only name in the collection on the evening of July 12. CryptoPunk #9280, another special edition, received a bid of $2.6 million in two hours after CryptoPunk #4464’s bid was accepted. However, the deal for CryptoPunk #9280 has not been accepted to date.
