Centralized Cryptocurrency Exchange (CEX) AEX has issued an official notice of suspending all existing services on the platform. However, it seems that this pause has been somewhat rushed.
Accordingly, AEX will stop all services starting from 7:32 UTC on July 17, 2022. The reason given by the floor for this sudden move is to fully cooperate with the investigation of the police of Guangxi province (Guangxi, China).
“We apologize for the inconvenience. Please wait for the police announcement. Thank you for your continuous trust and support to the AEX platform.”
AEX finished its statement with a risk warning about digital assets, describing them as “innovative investment products whose prices may fluctuate violently.”
Currently, the exchange has not taken any further action on the status, and users are still waiting for the investigation results. CoinCu will soon update more information about this event.
