Prominent trader Peter Brandt has called the XRP cryptocurrency “garbage” in response to a sales tweet by Ripple co-founder Jed McCaleb.
As reported by CoinCu, Ripple officially confirmed that Jed McCaleb had liquidated all of his XRP holdings following an eight-year sell-off. The co-founder made an estimated $3.09 billion and 708 BTC from his XRP sale.
Brandt has repeatedly stated that the XRP cryptocurrency is unregistered security.
The trader also calls the cryptocurrency a “scam” in 2020 and predicts that the US Securities and Exchange Commission will sue Ripple.
