Scam Alert: Channel Moon Pad Airdrops Scam

There have been many forms of scams against investors recently. In addition to attacks on the social accounts of projects, many scammers have created tokens or platform to impersonate projects to trick investors. We recently discovered a community pretending to be an airdrop & bounty channel to scam users. Let’s find out more details.

Scam Alert: Moon Pad Airdrops doesn’t channel airdrops

As described on Twitter, they have channels with a large number of followers, specializing in posting airdrop + promotions for projects. And the every tweet have countless users tricked into providing information in the hope of rewards. Some channels of Moon Pad Airdrops:

How do they work?

As we know, Moon Pad Airdrops take the airdrops of other projects and channels to repost on tele group and share on Twitter. User mistakenly thinks that it is Moon Pad Airdrops as a partner. However, that is not the case.

In addition, we received information from another community sharing about being scammed by Moon Pad Airdrops as follows:

Community: Moon Pad Airdrops asked us to transfer a total of $190 twice to promote the project. The transaction is attached as follows:

Coincu ask: How do you find their information?

Community: We found contact information from Twitter, and they promised to promote the project with a guarantee of 5k retweets. However, after the full transfer, they deleted all telegram messages and didn’t reply to us anymore.

Looking at the transaction below, there is certainly not only one victim. They took advantage of the decentralized to hide information and do wrong things.

How to avoid scam?
