Cardano Testnet Looks Good And Performs As Expected

According to a well-known Cardano supporter who runs the Logic stake pool operator and creates the Plutus platform, Cardano nodes of versions 1.34.1 and 1.35.3 are normalized and operate in line with the rules of usage of smart contracts.

The long-awaited Vasil hard fork was supposed to be implemented via a procedure with node 1.35.2, which the Cardano functionary also mentioned. The developer claims that if the problematic node, 1.35.2, delivers the incorrect transmission, nodes 1.34.1 and 1.35.3 will not include it in the chain. 1.35.2 actually just keeps the tx in its local mempool while all other nodes simply pass it at the same time.

According to a Cardano enthusiast, the issue was brought on by node 1.35.2’s ability to let build-raw generate a legitimate transaction for a very small price. However, the issue has since been resolved and tested. The developer concluded by saying that although though the team still has a lot of testing to go, at least that weird bug, which caused a FUD storm on social networks, has been fixed.

How did Cardano fare?

Recall that a flaw in Cardano Node v1.35.2 caused “catastrophic” harm to the Cardano test network. That was the version that was allegedly tested and prepared for the Vasil hard fork in the past. As a result, there was a minor disagreement between Charles Hoskinson, the project’s founder, and the owners of the stake pools on Cardano.

The entrepreneur blamed the users of the decentralized network of dragging down the process and hurting developers, while still urged all operators to update nodes to version 1.35.3. The first accused Hoskinson of the excessive rush to upgrade and the introduction of such flaws as a result.
