Aptos devnet acts as a test environment for blockchain developers to work in. Like the testnet, the devnet usually operates independently of the mainnet.
Through Wormhole’s Portal Bridge mechanism, the original token is locked in a smart contract and creates a wrapped token version at the other end of the chain. After receiving this wrapped token version, users can freely interact DeFi on the destination chain.
Available on the Aptos devnet as a node that unlocks the flow of liquidity into Aptos, providing developers with enhanced integration with Wormhole’s lightweight clients and access to oracle and NFT pricing markets.
Pyth, the Jump Crypto-backed oracle platform, also chose to launch on the Aptos devnet on September 21.
Aptos is the project of a former engineer Diem, blockchain was once developed by Facebook and abandoned. Recently, Aptos received an additional investment from Binance.
