Matthew Ballensweig – The Genesis Co-head of Sales and Trading has announced on his official Twitter and LinkedIn account regarding his leave after 5 years of working in this brokerage company.

“My line is always open and I can’t wait to continue building and learning with all of you,” said Matthew Ballensweig.

In the last 5 years, Matthew Ballensweig has built a trading a billion-value worth behemoth from an 8-person small office in 2017. He and his colleagues have set up many branches in multiple countries until now.

His new role is to become an advisor, spend more time with family, and prepare for the new chapter of life. Ballensweig stated that he will be in the crypto ecosystem.

At that time, the other four senior executives in Genesis confirmed that they have departed for the new role.

• Michael Paleokrassas – Managing director of trading
• Reed Werbitt – Head of cash trading
• Joshua LIM – head od derivative

In August, Genesis’ CEO Michael Moro left this position. The Ex-CEO admitted that Genesis had to mitigate its loss from the investment in bankrupt hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC).
