This company has partnered with Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me and invested a disclosed investment to enhance its payment methods for users. Detailed information about this deal will be announced in the next weeks.
According to Telefonica, the investment in Bit2Me is not the first venture in the blockchain industry. The firm has already launched its own blockchain-based marketplace after the first trial in 2019 that is based on the Polygon platform and MetaMask integration. More than that, Telefonica also partnered with Qualcomm Technologies for an augmented reality platform named SnapDragon Spaces.
According to the Data-on chain Coincu, Bit2Me is the largest crypto exchange in Spain, with an average daily volume of 6,453 BTC, around a $126 million market cap.
