Samsung Launches Metaverse Experience On Decentraland

Samsung Latam has opted to establish its own place on Decentraland, an Ethereum-based metaverse platform. The “House of Sam” environment will allow users to interact virtually with various Samsung devices and play mini-games to obtain Samsung-branded goodies for their avatars.

Samsung Latam, the electronics company’s Latin American regional subsidiary, has opted to commit to an online area to improve the exposure of its brand in the digital realm. The corporation will keep a “House of Sam” area in Decentraland, one of the largest Ethereum-based metaverse platforms.

The purpose of this move is to bring the brand closer to a new generation of customers by utilizing the metaverse as a tool. The facility is already accessible to users, having debuted on September 1 with a virtual performance by the Brazilian group Melim.

Arthur Wong, marketing director for Samsung Latam, stated:

“Our clients will be able to interact with each other, participate in exclusive shows, courses and events that we will offer for free in Decentraland, one of the most democratic and open spaces in the Metaverse. Our goal is to be closer to Generation Z, our youngest consumers who no longer put limits between the physical or the virtual.”

The House of Sam will provide a series of mini-games tied to the brand, as well as prizes in the form of special Decentraland wearables for its avatars. Some of Samsung’s most recognizable products, such as the Freestyle portable projector, may also be found in virtual reality.

This is one of several direct advances Samsung has taken into the metaverse, but the corporation has also been engaged in the NFT marketplace and the Bitcoin mining chip sector.
