LUNC DAO has invited its followers on Twitter to participate in a new campaign by burning up to 333.7 million LUNC. 95,342 of the account’s followers – referred to as CEOs – were urged by LUNC DAO to send at least one LUNC to the burn wallet.
The tweet implied that if all 95,342 followers participated in the campaign, a total of 333.7 million LUNC would be burned because at the time of the post, $1 was equal to 3,500 Luna Classic.
In order to participate in the campaign, the community was requested by LUNC DAO to contribute at least 3,500 LUNC to the burn wallet with the memo “CEO Burn”.
The campaign got off to a strong start with many so-called CEOs following the instruction. The amount of Luna Classic tokens sent to the burn address is displayed in an image of the blockchain data from the wallet that was given by LUNC DAO.
Previously, the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance also joined the proposal to burn 1.2% LUNC transaction fees. The number of Luna Classic tokens burnt from the total supply has surpassed 14 billion.
