According to the company filing with the UK government, London-based crypto custodian Copper Technologies has raised $196 million in fresh capital this year.
The additional money is part of the company’s ongoing Series C investment round. The remaining $196 million came from a convertible loan note and $181 million from new and current stockholders.
The company’s worth remained unknown, and the corporation recorded a loss of $15.95 million in 2021, up from $4.1 million in 2020. The company did not reply quickly to a request for comment.
Copper is currently seeking a common voice with the anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory authorities, applying for a license to operate as a legal cryptocurrency service provider in the UK.
