Shopify Partners With Web3 Commerce Platform Novel

Shopify, the world’s largest e-commerce platform, announced a partnership with Novel, a no-code Web3 commerce platform, to make Web3 technologies more accessible and approachable to all businesses.

As part of the collaboration, Novel released an app on the Shopify App Store that provides existing businesses with tools to experience Web3 innovation in e-commerce without any technical expertise or time or monetary commitments.

The app has two main functions: minting and distribution and utility. Users may utilize the minting and distribution tool to create art for a new nonfungible token (NFT) collection or upload an existing NFT collection. Novel may then implement smart contracts over the collection and sell them to users via the e-commerce platform site.

The CEO and co-founder of Novel, Roger Beaman stated:

“By integrating with Shopify, we’re able to leverage the industry-leading ecommerce platform they have built to equip all Shopify merchants with the tools they need to enter the Web3 commerce space.”

The Novel app, as an all-in-one Web3 tool on Shopify, also supports token-gating, enabling merchants to add use cases to their NFT collections.
