Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO have collaborated with NFT platform Nifty’s to develop digital-collectible non-fungible tokens based on the successful series. Although no official release date has been set, fans may expect “Game of Thrones” NFTs in late 2022.

The Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm NFT experience will allow fans to build a realm by collecting customizable avatars inspired by characters from the series as well as assorted packs with various collectibles such as equipable items to strengthen their avatars such as weapons, companions, and gear, according to Nifty’s blog. WBD noted:

“Throughout the program, varying themed packs will also be available.”

The move is the latest in a series of measures aimed at attracting enormous fandoms used to forking over cash for the next round of branded souvenirs. Previously, Warner Bros. Discovery launched similar digital collection ventures based on a well-known property such as The Lord of the Rings.
