As the challenger bank Revolut prepares to launch a crypto card in the United Kingdom, citizens will soon be able to use Dogecoin to pay for common products such as a loaf of bread.
Pay with Crypto is a Revolut service that offers consumers a 1% cryptocurrency return for purchases made with any of the almost one hundred accepted tokens. According to the Evening Standard, these tokens include Dogecoin, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), among others.
The cashback is given in the same currency as the transaction; for example, if the purchase was made in Dogecoin, 1% of the cashback will be given in DOGE.
Along with the launch, Revolut has developed a series of ‘Learn & Earn’ courses to assist consumers in enhancing their understanding of cryptocurrencies and related subjects, such as blockchains and the most popular tokens and protocols.
Emil Urmanshin, Revolut’s Crypto General Manager, said:
“This year, we not only raised the number of cryptocurrencies available in the Revolut app to close to 100 tokens but also introduced Crypto Learn & Earn education courses enjoyed by millions of our clients.”
