The project, Flow3rs, will include contributions from well-known NFT creators, including Danny Cole of Creature Worlds, Olive Allen, and Andre Oshea, among others. 200 NFTs will be sold in total, and 75% of the fund raised will be used to buy carbon offsets.
Dana Gibber, CEO of Flowcarbon, said:
“We worked with an impressive group of artists to carefully curate the pieces included in this series, which range from photography and generative art to 2D illustrations and 3D renderings. All of the works are centered around humanity’s influence on the natural world, our inspiration for this electrifying new collection.”
The Flow3rs initiative was created by the artists and Flowcarbon to be net carbon negative and to optimize the potential for funding climate impact. The collection serves as a platform for artists who want to utilize their creations and their influence in Web3 communities to promote action on the urgent issue of climate change. It also serves as a manifestation of art inspired by nature.
Flowcarbon previously raised $70 million, with the venture capital company a16z serving as the lead investor. To tokenize carbon credits, the company leverages technologies built on the blockchain.
