Musk tweeted “FTX meltdown/ransack being tracked in real-time on Twitter” just a few hours after the apparent hack began late Friday night.
He also shared a meme of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried in response to an article by crypto entrepreneur Sam Altman.
On Saturday morning, around 2:30 a.m. EST, Musk joined a Twitter Space with over 60,000 audiences to discuss the FTX hack and his thoughts on Bankman-Fried.
Elon Musk mentioned the failed SBF Twitter deal and shared his thoughts on the FTX CEO. He also advised listeners to keep their cryptocurrency in cold wallets rather than exchanges.
The spectacular collapse of FTX, until this week one of the world’s largest and seemingly most regulated exchanges, hasn’t turned Elon Musk off crypto in general. Furthermore, he stated that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and DOGE have a potential future.
