After the Oracle report, Lido ran afoul of a previously established 10% APR limit due to the extreme market conditions. The suggested modification would raise the permitted APR for Oracle reports from 10% to 17.5%.
As users anticipate producing more APR in the future, this surge in APR may serve as a trigger to rekindle interest in ETH and stETH.
Despite the volatile market, Lido Finance offered substantial APR to those staking their Ethereum. It is unclear whether the rise in APR would encourage more people to purchase Ethereum for staking, given that Ethereum has recently also been impacted by the decline in the cryptocurrency market.
At the time of writing, ETH is trading at $1255.
