The agreement enables Celo to utilize the Infura infrastructure provided by ConsenSys.
With Infura, the engineers can expand the blockchain’s scalability. Additionally, developers can use Truffle to create decentralized applications (dApps) that run on Ethereum. It is possible to test Ethereum smart contracts in the Truffle development environment.
Sharon Byrne Cotter, Product and Program Manager at Infura, stated:
“We look forward to this long-term partnership with Celo’s expanding ecosystem and integrating with its permissionless, carbon-negative blockchain built for real-world benefits.”
The collaboration will also enable its interoperability with MetaMask, a well-known Ethereum-based wallet. The Ethereum Climate Platform, which ConsenSys unveiled last week, will also include the EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain.
