Sébastien Borget of The Sandbox, Thibault Launay of Exclusible, Grégoire le Jeune of Geometry, and Lorens Huculak, founder of the OpenSea-acquired Gem, all participated in the equity round, which completed in August. The startup refused to reveal its worth.
Startups that make it easier to create NFTs have become popular among investors. Highlight and Fair.xyz, two no-code NFT minting systems, have recently received funding from Haun Ventures and OpenSea, respectively. Tropee is focusing on the ‘post-mint’ experience rather than the minting procedure itself.
While its website implies that users must be familiar with wallets, the business allows its clients to design experiences around a brand’s NFTs with relatively little technical skills, according to creator François Mahl in an interview.
“It may be an event, goods, a one-on-one with a celebrity, an exclusive video, or even an audiobook,” he said.
According to Mahl, the existing post-mint process is cumbersome and lacking in user experience, such as dependency on Google forms and Discord servers.
Tropee, formed in May of last year by a team of four, including the co-founder of French unicorn Meero, has assisted brands such as G-Star and Christian Lacroix in developing experiences to create usefulness for their NFT lines, according to Mahl.
