Before the statement of Coinbase holding 2M BTC was published, CZ had posted a tweet stating “news reports” that
Coinbase Custody holds 635K BTC for Grayscale, and the crypto exchange Coinbase had less than 600K BTC 4 months ago.
However, the CEO of Binance deleted the tweet after posting it for a few minutes due to the incorrect number of BTC holdings in his tweet, Brian Armstong was the one who claimed.
According to Brian Armstrong, the crypto exchange holds shy of 2.000.000 BTC, which is equal to nearly $39.9 billion worth as of 30 September, and the statistic statement was tweeted right after the deleted tweet of CZ.
Additionally, Brian emphasized that Coinbase is a public company, and their financials are public, meaning there is no fear, uncertainty, and doubt. He also attached the shareholder letter to his tweet.
