Whale Wallet Created By Vitalik Buterin Transfer 40,000 ETH

On Thursday, a transaction displaying the transfer of 40,000 Ethereum (ETH) was noticed on the chain. It’s noted that the transfer is thought to have come from a wallet Vitalik Buterin created.

Data from Etherescan shows that a transaction with the sender name Vb 3 was judged to be worth 40,000 Ether. The Ethereum whales seized the chance during the slump in ETH prices. As the price of ETH declined after the FTX collapse, the whales bought more than $1 billion worth of Ether.

Due to the FTX meltdown, Ether just saw a significant selloff. Investors in the cryptocurrency industry now face additional challenges as a result of the FTX bankruptcy news.

The FTX hacker dumped ETH earlier in the week, and since then, the price of Ethereum has only marginally increased. According to Coincu, the price of ETH as of this writing is $1,176, down 2.1% over the last 24 hours.
