TP ICAP, a major player in traditional finance’s wholesale markets infrastructure (TradFi), is collaborating with custodian Fidelity Digital Assets to provide a platform for matching orders and carrying out spot cryptocurrency trades.
Until now the wholesale digital assets market has lacked the credible infrastructure and assurance necessary for [financial market players] to allocate capital. Over time, we believe blockchain will lead to the tokenization of traditional asset classes.
Duncan Trenholme, co-head of digital assets at TP ICAP Group, said in a statement
The business has been listed on the FCA’s crypto company registration since November 21 with its full name, Tullett Prebon (Europe) Ltd. While the U.K. Treasury considers a more comprehensive legislative framework for crypto authorizations, the registry attests to compliance with money laundering regulations.
