Cosmos-based Injective Integrates With Wormhole

Injective, a Cosmos-based smart contract platform, has announced its integration with the Wormhole cross-chain interoperability mechanism.

The platform users will be able to bridge assets from linked Wormhole Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks into its ecosystem as a result of the integration. Highly complex cross-chain transfers can now be accomplished via a simple click. Assets on several blockchains, like Solana and Aptos, can enter the Cosmos IBC ecosystem for the first time via its platform.

On Injective Hub, users can navigate to “Bridge” and select one of the chains within Wormhole’s network to transfer assets directly to their Injective Wallet.

On Portal Bridge (the bridging platform for Wormhole), users can select one of the chains within Wormhole’s network to transfer assets directly to their wallet.

Wormhole is a message-passing technology used to connect high-value blockchains. Wormhole facilitates the exchange of value and information between ecosystems.

This new integration is a significant milestone for the Injective ecosystem, allowing the community to connect to previously inaccessible networks. The connectivity also enables innovative assets and data to be used directly throughout Injective-powered dApps.

The platform will also serve as a critical gateway for assets to move into the larger IBC ecosystem, strengthening its position as a vital infrastructure layer designed for interoperable finance.
