Polygon Partners With hi And MasterCard To Create Mastercard NFT Debit Cards

A relationship between Mastercard and cryptocurrency platform hi Technology has been announced by Polygon Blockchain. The companies are working together to give users freedom of expression and creation.

Owners of Polygon wallets have the ability to design personalized Mastercard NFT debit cards that let customers spend cryptocurrency and fiat money at more than 90 million merchant locations globally.

Customers of Polygon must download the hi app, register for an account, and choose a Silver or higher card level in order to be eligible for an exclusive card. They will then be able to customize their cards using NFTs that Polygon will produce.

The move is Polygon’s most recent strategic alliance as it strives to represent gasless fees for NFTs. The largest NFT marketplace in Solana, Magic Eden, and new blockchain gaming features from Starbucks are both supported by Polygon.

Members of the hi and Mastercard will also be eligible for savings on up to 20 digital subscriptions, travel advantages, and Spend Rewards of up to 10% in addition to this exclusive incentive.

“The Polygon team are true blockchain pioneers and we are excited to partner with them to explore new frontiers for Web3, particularly in the banking and payments space,” said hi co-founder Sean Rach.

In September of this year, Mastercard and hi collaborated. The first customizable NFT debit cards were subsequently introduced by the companies.

Users can now use Mastercard credit/debit cards to buy NFTs thanks to a partnership between Mastercard and Coinbase that began in January. Customers could only utilize NFTs from high-end collections like CryptoPunks and the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Additionally, Mastercard recently submitted a trademark application to offer security services relating to cryptocurrencies.
