Nouns Ethereum NFTs Will Appear In The 2023 Rose Parade

The Nouns NFT concept has already been featured in an independent movie and a Super Bowl commercial. The Nouns DAO then approved and sponsored a proposal to see the pixel characters and their boxy spectacles (or Noggles) march in the Rose Parade the following week.

Six costumed characters and a float with a Nouns theme will participate in the 134th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on January 2, 2023. The parade occurs before the Penn State-Utah college football game at the Rose Bowl.

Stoopid The concept was offered to the Nouns community of NFT holders in April by Buddy Stoodios, the production firm for the TV shows “Robot Chicken” and “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” The NFT enthusiast and co-founder of the studio proposed making the parade float and costumes and shooting the entire event for a documentary.

A novel Ethereum-based enterprise called Nouns sells off a single NFT pixel character daily, with all proceeds going into a communal fund. Owners of Nouns can vote on proposals to use the treasury, which currently has about $32.7 million worth of ETH, to fund initiatives that further the project’s goal of creating open-source IP.

As previously mentioned, the Nouns glasses were featured on limited-edition Bud Light cans and in a Bud Light Super Bowl commercial. The independent film “Calladita” will also feature Nouns, and the DAO has supported projects like physical Noggles, Web3 education programs, and a showing at New York Fashion Week.

In this instance, the DAO granted Stoopid Buddy Stoodios’ request for roughly 610 ETH to support the production of the parade float, costumes, and movie in June. When the application was approved on June 1, the investment had a value of over $1.1 million, even though 610 ETH now only has a value of roughly $723,000 due to Ethereum’s dropping value.
