Bored Ape Yacht Club Will Launch The Game Dookey Dash On January 18

A forthcoming online game where players must navigate a sewer to earn rewards in the form of NFTs was revealed by the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

Dookey Dash, a game that BAYC will release on January 18, requires a Sewer Pass to play, which will be available to claim to start on January 17 for Bored Ape Yacht Club or Mutant Ape Yacht Club members only.

The skill-based Dookey Dash and the Sewer Pass claim will both expire on February 8. Users can play as much as they want, but to verify the Sewer Pass (which is linked to the wallet it’s stored in), they must play at least once and score more than 0.

Plans to gamify the creation of NFTs were revealed by Yuga Labs, the company that made the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.

Even those without a Bored Ape NFT can participate in the game if they have a Sewer Pass. Yuga said on its website:

“You’ll get three weeks to play as many times as you want. Players will be rewarded based on their performance in the sewer. When the sewer closes, the leaderboard freezes. After scores are validated, eligible sewer passes will prepare for the summoning and the highest score gets the key.”

A week after the game’s conclusion, on February 15, the “summoning” takes place, valid Sewer Passes will be able to change into an enigmatic new power source.

Holders of Sewer Passes will compete for the best score and receive their new power supply. What it displays will depend on your specific Sewer Pass and the associated wallet’s greatest single-run score during the run.
