Key Points:
The agreement’s terms weren’t made public. As Doodles creator Jordan Castro tweeted, “storytelling sans restrictions & AI (artificial-intelligence) animation generation R&D),” the acquisition will allow Doodles access new forms of content. Additionally, the agreement will expand Golden Wolf’s operations into industries other than animation, like fashion and music.
As we continue to grow the business, this represents a brand-new chapter for Doodles, the company wrote on Twitter. The core of all we do will be narrative storytelling, world building, and character development.
The studio will collaborate closely inside the Doodles brand even though Golden Wolf stated that it will continue to operate independently. Ingi Erlingsson, founder and CEO of Golden Wolf, has joined Doodles as chief content officer and will be responsible for overseeing studio operations and developing the company’s brand’s upcoming phase.
In its efforts to increase its brand ties through acquisitions, Doodles is not alone. Adweek revealed last week that cryptocurrency payments company MoonPay has bought Web3 agency Nightshift in order to create a platform for companies to learn about blockchain technologies.
