Cardano DEX Declares Initial Governance Progress

The Cardano DEX SundaeSwap has announced an important governance milestone. It announced in a tweet that the first on-chain SundaeSwap governance vote is currently open.

In addition to unveiling its customized Layer-2 Validium solution, SundaeSwap announced the opening of its governance portal on January 31.

The SundaeSwap DEX is intended to be a completely decentralized project, and SundaeSwap claimed that it prioritized governance as its first major product release for 2023.

With the introduction of the solution, SundaeSwap claims it is achieving a goal it has had since the DEX protocol’s introduction in January of last year: to enable SUNDAE token holders to submit and vote on important choices pertaining to the DEX protocol’s development. By holding a vote for the greatest ice cream flavor, the DEX introduced its off-chain Validium, an innovative safe governance system on Cardano, in July 2022.

Cardano joins the Voltarian era of government

Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano, launched CIP 1694, the first CIP for the Age of Voltaire, as was reported last year. The Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) 1694 aspires to the Voltaire era, often known as the age of governance.

Jared Corduan, a principal software developer at Input Output Global, the company that created ADA, suggested that it be accepted and submitted to a vote in November 2022.

The Voltaire age, according to Cardano’s roadmap, aims to deliver the final components needed for the Cardano network to become a self-sustaining system. Participants in the network will be able to use their stake and voting rights to affect the network’s evolution after the implementation of a voting and treasury system.
