In the case of a female gold shop worker who stole 2,380 gold rings by reporting gold shop representative Kim Huong 1 to the police, nearly 259 gold was lost, valued at more than VND 9.6 billion, the equivalent of a small gold shop. After successfully bringing the gold out, Nhung asked people to sell it, mortgage it in gold shops in Dong Xoai City, or bring it home for storage.

Police from Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province said they coordinated with Tan Binh Township to temporarily arrest Luong Thi Nhung (28 years old, lives in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province) and record statements, to investigate theft and property theft.

According to Nhung’s testimony, from August 2020 to September 16, Nhung repeatedly stole gold from the gold counter area she manages. The number of gold rings according to Nhung totaled 2,380 18k gold rings.

Using the inventory management feature and employee trust, Nhung stole jewelry from inventory and then reported incorrect data to other employees for entry.
