A MEV Bot Was Attacked And Lost $20 Million Due To The Bundle Transaction

On April 3, Twitter user @GaoFlynn shared a tweet about a MEV robot assault that cost nearly $20 million.

Several big MEV arbitrageurs have experienced significant losses as a result of this account, and there is a link in the complete mechanism chain where offenders show, from builder to relayer to validator. The first significant turning moment in the overall MEV ecology. The straightforward reason is that the hacker obtained the sandwich arbitrage large bot’s package transaction. 

The package contains three transactions: 1. A significant quantity of transactions, 2. A imprisoned user’s transaction, 3. A significant amount of sales were made. The hacker obtained the package, disassembled it, substituted step 2 with his own transaction, swapped the bot’s funds for inexpensive tokens, and then the step 3 transaction failed.

Furthermore, according to a post by @punk3155, the above-mentioned assault resulted in the loss of a MEV robot, with a total loss of $20 million USD. This event emphasizes the susceptibility of such systems to cyber attacks and the need for more stringent security measures to be put in place.

It also emphasizes the significance of continuous transaction monitoring and the need for instant reaction to any suspicious behavior.
