Key Points:
Collection.xyz, like DeFi protocols such as Uniswap or Curve, has liquidity pools and automated market maker (AMM) capabilities, unlike first-generation NFT markets such as OpenSea or LooksRare.
Automatic market makers, which facilitate the buying and selling of assets without the need for middlemen, are a major advance in the development of decentralized exchanges. Users contribute NFTs or ETH to these pools in exchange for tokens. This technique, in turn, enables traders to automate the acquisition and selling of NFTs in bulk without the need for middlemen.
Collection.xyz also provides customizable trading options, such as the ability for traders to choose which NFTs they want to accept. Users may also search the collection for particular NFTs ID numbers.
Collection.xyz has previously created community-based ventures, such as The Mutant Hideout for Mutant Ape Yacht Club members, in which the community is involved in market-making activities and revenues are shared among users.
NFT project designers may leverage the Draw vault of the protocol to incentivise liquidity and royalty payments for their collections. Eligible liquidity providers may get incentives depending on their participation by depositing NFTs or ERC-20 tokens. The inventors get royalties as liquidity develops. Collection.XYZ is meant to offer liquidity for any collection and does not impose protocol-level costs.
ABDK Consulting, whose customers include Uniswap, GMX, ZKSpace, CitaDAO, and Sudoswap, successfully audited the DEX protocol.
Additionally, Collection.xyz intends to prioritize community-driven curation, which means that the protocol will endeavor to include members of the NFT community in market-making operations. The DEX also promises to provide a solution to the NFT royalties controversy by connecting royalties distribution to the liquidity in the pools of the creator’s collection.
During the testnet phase, Collection.xyz had a testnet competition with over 120 wallets participating, and 302 pools were established to trade Collection Zodiac NFTs. Pools were used to purchase over 1,100 Collection Zodiac NFTs.
