According to SFGate, Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App, was stabbed to death in San Francisco in the early hours of April 4.

A tragic incident occurred in San Francisco, where Bay Area tech executive Bob Lee was killed in a stabbing incident. According to sources, Lee was found with stab wounds on Main Street in SoMa and was immediately taken to a hospital for medical attention.

Officers responded at about 2:35 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 300 block of Main Street and arrived to find Lee, who was taken to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries there, police said.

However, despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries and died. Lee was a renowned figure in the tech industry and served as the chief product officer of MobileCoin, the former chief technology officer of Square, and the founder of Cash App.

The San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating the case, but no arrests have been made so far, and they have not released any suspect details. They have, however, urged anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward and assist with the investigation. This tragic incident is a reminder of the increasing crime rate in San Francisco. According to the police department, 56 homicides were reported in both 2022 and 2021, up from 48 in 2020.
