Curve Finance Founder’s Smart Move: Transferring USDT Before BTC Hit $30K

Curve Finance Founder transferred 18M $USDT to Bitfinex before BTC/ETH rose. Whale sold all $GNS and $GMX from Binance. Investors received 41,302 $GMX ($3.05M) from Binance and sold for 1,696 $ETH ($3.26M) at $79, making ~$214k.

Investors have been making moves in the crypto market, buying and selling coins at different prices to make a profit. According to Lookonchain, SmartMoney recently purchased 5,104 $GMX with 404,403 $USDC at $79.24, whilst the same investor bought 1,645 $GMX with 99,940 $USDC at $61 on February 11th, selling for 107,017 $USDC at $65, making approximately $7k.

Notably, the investor also purchased 8,403 $GMX at $36 from October 24th, 2022, to January 4th, 2023, selling at $53 on January 11th and February 3rd, making approximately $141k.

Meanwhile, a whale sold all of the $GNS and $GMX bought from Binance 1 month ago. On the other hand, investors received 41,302 $GMX ($3.05M) from Binance at $74 and sold for 1,696 $ETH ($3.26M) at $79, making approximately $214k. However, not every investment produced a profit, as investors received 59,064 $GNS ($493k) from Binance at $8.36, but sold for 211 $ETH ($405k) at $6.86, resulting in a loss of approximately $88k.

In addition, the founder of Curve.fi transferred 18M $USDT to Bitfinex before BTC/ETH rose today. The founder usually deposits $CRV into Aave and borrows $USDT. The founder has deposited a total of approximately 212M $CRV ($219M) and borrowed approximately 61.2M $USDT on Aave.

Wintermute Trading also minted 20M $TUSD and transferred to Binance before the price of BTC/ETH rose.

According to a report from Spot On Chain, a whale recently gathered 1.08 million $ARB at a price of $1.18, which was worth approximately $1.28 million.

The same party then sent an additional 2.19 million $ARB at a price of $1.38, which was worth approximately $3.02 million. The whale now holds all 3.27 million $ARB worth roughly $4.05 million. It is worth noting that $ARB is currently trading at $1.24.
