Iron Fish mainnet launches after $27.7m investment by a16z. A privacy network with zero-knowledge proofs to protect user data, and compliance built-in. The largest ZKP processor.

The Iron Fish mainnet has launched after receiving a $27.7 million investment led by a16z. This privacy network claims to be one of the world’s largest zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) processors. During the initial release of 42 million tokens, testnet airdrops accounted for 2.25% of the total.

Iron Fish is a privacy platform for web3 aimed at making it a safe space through privacy while deterring bad actors. Their ultimate mission is to become the privacy platform for all crypto transactions, and the mainnet launch is a significant step towards this goal.

The platfrom uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) as a fully encrypted, layer-1 blockchain to protect users’ personal data. Compliance is built-in, with every Iron Fish account coming with a set of view keys allowing them to provide read-only access to their transaction records as necessary.

The Iron Fish community has demonstrated its commitment to the platform. During the testnet phase, over 50 million transactions were processed, all shielded using zero-knowledge proofs, making it one of the largest processors of ZKPs ever. In the third phase of the incentivized testnet, over 60,000 concurrent nodes were online.

Upon mainnet launch, the genesis block will be allocated as follows. Please see the next section for descriptions of each category.
