The Power Behind PEPE Token’s Success: Chinese Investors And NFT Community

Key Points:

  • Many early PEPE buyers hold Milady NFT and Dimethyltryptamine.eth cashed out over $6 million while holding PEPE tokens worth over $9.7 million.
  • Lookonchain identified 3 SmartMoneys who purchased $SHIB and $PEPE early on, making millions of USD in profits.
Early PEPE tokens buyers hold Milady NFT; Dimethyltryptamine.eth holds a significant amount of Milady and cashed out $6M+. Lookonchain found 3 SmartMoneys that bought SHIB and PEPE, making millions.

Wu reported that upon analyzing the holding addresses of many PEPE tokens, it had been discovered that many early purchasers possessed Milady NFT. One multisig wallet, in particular, manages 6.9% of the total PEPE supply, with its earliest ETH transaction originating from an address that holds a significant amount of Milady’s sister project, Remilio.

During the early stages of PEPE’s growth, the NFT community and Chinese investors in Dubai joined forces to purchase PEPE, ultimately becoming the primary driving force behind its early success.

Dimethyltryptamine.eth, who purchased 0.125 ETH worth of PEPE on the first day, holds a significant amount of Milady and the aforementioned project, Remilio. The account has managed to cash out more than 6 million USD, yet still holds PEPE tokens worth more than 9.7 million USD.

Meanwhile, Lookonchain has discovered that 3 SmartMoneys purchased SHIB and PEPE early on and made millions of USD. Their profits were as follows:

  • 0x2af8 made $3.84M on SHIB and $1.34M on PEPE.
  • Cryptopolitan.eth made $2.45M on SHIB and $695K on PEPE.

0x778c began buying SHIB on February 2, 2021. They purchased 1.31T SHIB for $13.5K and eventually sold for $5.81M, earning a profit of approximately $5.8M. They bought PEPE on April 17 and purchased 396.7B PEPE for $9,815. They then sold 116.8B PEPE for $392K and currently hold 280B PEPE ($799K), resulting in a profit of approximately $1.18M.
