BTC Lightning Network shows increased activity after Twitter announcement

New nodes and channels on BTC’s Lightning Network show activity increases of 23.68% and 22.24% compared to last day, and the increase in activity follows Twitter’s announcement on Thursday that it has support for BTC-based Added payment features like the Lightning wallet. Twitter’s Bitcoin rollout includes the integration of Strike, a Bitcoin payment application based on a Layer 2 network. According to data from 1ML, around 27,037 nodes are running on Lugnting, of which 15,887 buttons contain active payment channels.
