Wildxyz, a digital art collective, has launched The Wild Curatorial Board, a group of ten artists that will advise the company’s artist residency program and help shape the future of immersive art.

Mitchell F. Chan, Nancy Baker Cahill, Harm van den Dorpel, Gabriel Massan, Maria Paula Fernández, and Serwah Attafuah, as well as Deafbeef, Casey Reas, Holly Herndon, and Mathew Dryhurst. These are the ten great people that will help Wild continue to cultivate and encourage talent in the world of immersive art.

The Wild Curatorial Board will be crucial in choosing artists for Wildxyz and developing collections that represent the greatest in immersive art. They will analyze and choose collections from the Residency, as well as partnerships that display the greatest level of experiential quality, as measured by meaningful interaction, conceptual depth, and digital originality, and will be recognized as part of the Wild Signature.

Moreover, the board will operate as an overall creative thinking partner, playing a critical role in expanding the effect of immersive art throughout the larger cultural environment.

They will act as Wild community leaders, creating new opportunities for learning, growth, and mentoring within our creative community of artists. They will also continue to assist Wildxyz in defining this area and the spatial internet, as well as charting new paths into uncharted creative terrain.

Wildxyz secured $7 million in preliminary investment in March to expand its residency program centered on immersive art. Harm Van Dorpel, a member of the Wild Curatorial Board, collaborated with Mercedes-Benz and digital art group Fingerprints DAO in May to develop an NFT series influenced by automotive notions.
