Craig Wright wins lawsuit, Bitcoin.org to remove official BTC report

Craig Wright won the lawsuit against Cobra and now the most famous BTC sites have had to stop hosting official Bitcoin reports as we now read more on the latest bitcoin news.

Craig Wright is a man who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Now Craig Wright has won the legal battle over the copyright of the BTC whitepaper. According to a report by Ontier LLP, the law firm that Wright represents as a chain scientist was awarded a default judgment in its copyright lawsuit against Cobra. Craig Wright requested to remove the official Bitcoin report from Bitcoin.org and Bitcoincore.org, but the first report initially refused, so Craig Wright filed a lawsuit against it. During the hearing, Cobra had to divulge his identity while cherishing it immensely, more than a final victory in the dispute, and therefore chose to waive his right to defend himself or to file a lawsuit before the judge. That abstention made it pretty easy to win the Wright Standard.

Simon Cohen, Senior Associate at Ontier LLP, along with a member of the legal team advising Wright on the action, said:

“This is an important development in Dr. Wright’s quest to get legal proof of his copyright in his white paper. Although he couldn’t win today because there was no defense, it is worth noting that the UK court still declared ‘Cøbra’ that it did not have access to the White Paper in the UK. “

Does this mean the courts will recognize Wright as the author of the Bitcoin White Paper? Well, no, and that doesn’t mean the court will identify him as Satoshi Nakamoto. He had to abandon too many of his big lawsuits against prominent members of the crypto community who chose to defend their arguments. Still, Cobra’s anonymity was key to Wright winning this lawsuit. Of all the websites that host official reports, the lawsuit against the Bitcoin.org webmaster is a move Wright could attempt in hopes of not getting any more outrage. The stuntman put Cobra up against the wall and as we can see it worked. Bitcoin.org website needs to remove all access to the UK whitepaper and release information about Wright’s victory as the webmaster has decided not to oppose.

Cobra has said that he would like to pay the fines by transferring BTC to an address known to be owned by Satoshi:

“I am pleased that Craig paid his expenses on the official Bitcoin case report.

How is a BTC payment made to the address linked to block 9? https://t.co/dxMWIrnkGx
