Attorney James K. Filan, who regularly shares updates with the community about Ripple and the SEC lawsuit tweets that the San Francisco-based company just welcomed a new team member.
According to him, attorney Sarah J. Prostko, 29, joined the lawsuit to protect the interests of Chris Larsen, who co-founded Ripple Labs with Jed McCaleb in 2012.
Prostko is an alumnus of the New York Law School, she received the title Magna Cumlaude – a Latin academic honorary title for outstanding academic achievement.

Attorney Prostko works for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP based in New York. This famous law firm was founded in 1875 and employs nearly 2,000 people in many parts of the world.
Earlier this month, Cointelegraph reported that a new attorney has also joined the Ripple team to defend CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s interest in the lawsuit against the SEC.
In late December 2020, the SEC sued Ripple Labs and two of its top executives, CEO Bradley Garlinghouse and co-founder and chairman Chris Larsen, accusing them of raising $ 1.3 billion worth of securities; XRP is unregistered. Ripple has vowed to fight the SEC to the end.
