Following investigations, the authorities confirmed that the perpetrators had fled to Malaysia shortly after the crime. With the issuance of an arrest warrant, two of the men involved were arrested in Malaysia and extradited to Singapore. They were each charged with one count of armed robbery.
Among the stolen property were cash, cryptocurrency, a Richard Mille watch, two Rolex watches, and a Ferrari car key.
The two defendants, Goh Wen Tong and Mohammad Taufik, were interviewed via videoconference. The case will resume next Thursday. Even as criminals involved in local cases may escape abroad, the Singapore police are committed to ensuring justice is served.
