Crypto Supporter Donald Trump Pledges Crypto Growth in Florida

A highlight of the evening was Trump’s strong criticism of President Joe Biden’s stance on cryptocurrencies. Trump vowed to end what he termed as Biden’s “war on crypto” and pledged to establish Florida as a central hub for cryptocurrency development in the United States.

“I will end Joe Biden’s war on crypto, and we will ensure that the future of crypto and the future of Bitcoin will be made in America. We’re going to keep it right here. And a lot of it’s going to be done right here in Florida, right?” he declared, earning loud applause from the audience.

Trump’s Commitment to Protect Crypto Holders

Earlier, Trump met with executives from Bitcoin mining companies CleanSpark Inc. and Riot Platforms. He acknowledged the role of Bitcoin miners in stabilizing the energy grid, further solidifying his pro-crypto stance. Trump has been vocal about his support for digital currencies, accepting crypto donations for his campaign and advocating for the rights of individuals to self-custody their coins without relying on centralized entities.

In recent months, crypto supporter Donald Trump has consistently expressed bullish sentiments about cryptocurrencies. In April, he launched a new collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Solana blockchain. He has also promised to protect Bitcoin holders from regulatory pressures, specifically mentioning his commitment to keep Senator Elizabeth Warren and her “goons” away from the crypto community during a speech at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C., in May.
