Ubisoft NFT Collection Coming on Arbitrum

Ubisoft NFT collection includes 10,000 NFTs using developers’ latest Web3 game on the Ethereum scaling network, Arbitrum. Minting is due to go live in the coming weeks via the Magic Eden marketplace, and a growing number of users are securing allowlist spots through beta testing and Discord challenges.

The collection called Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E. NFT Collection by dynamic “Niji Warrior ID Cards” gives holders early access to a top-down multiplayer shooter in a futuristic world inspired by the Netflix series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.

These NFTs provide rights of access to the governance model of the game, a feature to create user-generated content, and rewards as part of giving their vote on what will be in future game updates. Users can vote about the evolution of the game, create and submit their creations, and develop greater value in their Ubisoft NFT collection based on in-game performance.

Ubisoft’s Latest Venture with Layer-2 Solutions

This is based on performance, monitored by something called an Eden Score. That score goes up, the more perks and influence gamers have within the game.

Another innovative way Ubisoft has approached NFTs is incorporating play-to-earn mechanics that give players a unique chance to take on more of a co-creator role in development. As active participation in the ecosystem unlocks rewards, gameplay becomes more created by interaction and community.

The release is Ubisoft’s second big foray into blockchain gaming, aside from Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, built on the Oasys network. The partnership also points to the rising trend where NFT projects are adopting Layer 2 Ethereum solutions because scalability and interoperability for developers and players have increased.
