Key Points:
Just in the past few hours, one of Ethereum’s co-founders, Vitalik Buterin, has transferred 2.09 million STRK tokens valued at approximately $799,000 to Binance. The tokens arrived in the last five months and then were worth about $1.51 million, thus he realized a loss on investment of about $714,000. The deposit comes to light as crypto enthusiasts debate this move by Buterin in light of what it will contribute to the price of STRK.
Buterin has been a highly public investor in StarkNet since investing in the protocol’s seed round way back in 2018, so this would likely be a strategic repositioning or shift in investment focus. The amount of STRK deposited was large, which set tongues wagging with speculations about his outlook on the future value of STRK and the wider StarkNet ecosystem, according to Onchain Lens.
