Solana Optimistic Network Unveils Exciting SOON Testnet for Public Trials

Key Points:

  • Solana Optimistic Network (SOON) testnet now live with 30,000 TPS and 50ms block time.
  • SOON’s SVM-based Rollup fully integrates with Ethereum fraud proofs, boosting interoperability.
  • SOON secured funding from prominent figures, including Solana Foundation’s Lily Liu and Coinbase Ventures’ Jonathan King.
In a release on the X platform, SOON—Solana Optimistic Network, a premium Rollup stack project—announced the launch of its public testnet, marking a significant milestone for the chain.

Solana Optimistic Network Launches Public Testnet

The testnet is fully integrated with the decoupled Solana Virtual Machine, SVM, which is a leap forward in improving compatibility with Ethereum fraud proofs. This breakthrough allows the SVM-based Rollup implementation to work seamlessly with fraud detection native within Ethereum while extending its functionality into the broader decentralized ecosystem.

SOON Achieves 30,000 TPS and 50ms Block Time

According to the latest benchmark tests, the Solana Optimistic Network scaled a stunning 30,000 TPS with block times as low as 50 milliseconds. Such performance indicators position SOON among blockchain solutions in their capability to process high-volume transactions without significant delays. This indicates that SOON may be one of the solution options for scalability problems that both the Solana and Ethereum networks face today, allowing dApps to perform better on the SOON network.

The “co-builder” round was closed in August this year and included prominent crypto industry participants such as Lily Liu, the chairman of the Solana Foundation; Anatoly Yakovenko, one of the co-founders of Solana Labs; and Jonathan King, head of Coinbase Ventures. This strategic investment furthered SOON’s prospects of becoming a high-impact blockchain solution maker and reaffirmed its mission to build scalable, high-performance blockchain solutions.
