Key Points:
The core function of the Movement Token Generation Event is to introduce MOVE, the main token of the Movement blockchain, later to be launched as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with a supply of 10 billion, allocated for community projects, active contributors, and supporters. Later, when the mainnet is live, MOVE will let its users transfer and stake their tokens on validators.
The Movement blockchain leverages Ethereum for security and fast transaction finality. It has advanced functionality such as “postconfirmations.” The MOVE token will be significant in the network for its function. It contributes to staking rewards, gas fee payment, and furthering decentralized governance, according to Movement founder Rushi Manche.

MOVE is the native token of Movement and will have a very important role within the chain for governance, staking, and gas fee settlements. The holders of MOVE will be able to propose and vote on governance proposals, influencing future developments around the network. In this model, the community regulates and scales the platform.
The Movement Labs’ vision is to widen the adoption of the Move programming language and is funded by Polychain Capital and Binance Labs. This particular infrastructure allows Ethereum’s security with the fastest finality rollup design and opens up wide possibilities for new innovative applications and a robust ecosystem.
