OKEx Asia opens the event Satoshi month their annual conference with a panel of industry pioneers and crypto managers.
Among the valued panelists were Netero (OKEx Asia CEO) Adam De Cata (Partnership Manager at Decentraland), Edul Patel (Mudrex CEO), John Sedano and Fallen Corpsez (team leader), community and developer of Yield Guild Games, Vincent Zhang (director from OKEx Blockdream Ventures) and Miss OKEx chaired the committee.
The Metaverse panel brought interesting perspectives on the position of the crypto and blockchain industry.
“In addition to the Gamefi community, the early crypto enthusiasts will undoubtedly be the first wave of traffic in the Metaverse sector,” said Netero, CEO OKEx Asia.
The current state of Metaverse with WEB 1.0 is similar to that of 1998. At this time, the explosion of the Internet concept became popular and caught the attention of people outside of the tech world. The early adopters became first generation internet users. The Metaverse segment could just be the next level of the internet as we’ve seen the price boom for Metaverse-based tokens in recent years with more and more people showing interest in the concept.
“We call it ‘delivering high quality projects with high quality traffic’. We help entrepreneurs expand their projects through global traffic. The current metaverse is like the internet in 1998. Despite the bubbles, we believe that things will happen one step at a time, and we believe that this is an opportunity, not a barrier. ”
While projects like YGG emphasize the importance of community and creator-centered development, Decentraland has a similar take on the metaverse concept.
“We are constantly testing the technology. In terms of community and growth, we recently launched the Metaverse Festival, which showcases guests like great pop artists and Paris Hilton and others in a four day virtual event. We want to inspire the community to grow. It’s a historic event for both artists new to Metaverse and all new Decentraland users, “said Adam De Cata of the Decentraland virtual social platform.
When asked about Facebook’s foray into the Metaverse segment with a bold renaming to “Meta”, the panel agreed that large companies are bringing crypto into the mainstream.
Edul Patel, CEO of Mudrex, reported on the importance and weight that exchanges and digital currencies alike will play in the Metaverse sector. He also claims that this change will be even more pronounced as real life will soon overlap with virtual reality.
End of the event Satoshi month Every year Netero emphasizes:
“On the way to the next industrial revolution and in contrast to the previous IR 4.0, community and infrastructure will be an important factor. We hope that the event will raise awareness for Satoshi month We can enlighten the unlimited possibilities of the blockchain revolution and bring it to the public. ”
