On November 15, Animoca Brands (AB) announced a collaboration with popular Korean record label, talent management, and music production organization Cube Entertainment to create a K-pop-exclusive Metaverse universe.
The collaboration will encourage the platform and Cube to collaborate on the creation of one-of-a-kind NFTs that celebrate Cube’s portfolio of iconic K-pop stars and artists. Artist portraits and album art will be displayed at the NFT.
Yat Siu, CEO of AB, is excited to begin working with Cube to make the Metaverse idea in K-pop a reality. Cube represents over 50 K-pop acts, including well-known groups and soloists such as BtoB, Pentagon, (G)I-DLE, and Lightsum.
Animoca is intimately associated with several milestones in the evolution of the NFT sector. The investment in Dapper Labs, the launch pad behind the success of Axie Infinity (AXS) and the major publisher of the metaverse game The Sandbox (SAND) released on Ethereum in 2018, is the highlight. The Sandbox will fund additional $93 million in early November 2021 to extend its platform.
